<p>Hi,</p> <p>As you're here, you may have already heard by now that I am doing a skydive for the Civil Service Benevolent Fund. I know what you're thinking; it doesn't fit my usual risk averse behaviour, however I have decided that 2011 is the year for daring activities and this is all for a good cause!</p> <p>The Fund exists to offer vital support to civil servants, current, former and retired, in difficult situations; for instance- redundancy in the family, death of a spouse, carer assistance for disabled children, to name a few. In the last five years alone the Fund has helped 32,000 people and your donations will enable it to help many more people in need.</p> <p>If that hasn't convinced you to donate whatever you can afford, just revel in the thought of me jumping out of a moving plane, 10,000 feet above the ground!
