The British Red Cross, a charity incorporated by Royal Charter 1908, helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives.

Story

I'm sure you're aware of the recent devastation in Japan caused by the earthquake and subsequent tsunami. Fold For Peace, an arts group in Leeds, are holding an event at the Corn Exchange on 16th April 2011 to raise funds.

This will be a challenge for a group of us to fold as many cranes as
we can in an hour. You can sponsor us per crane, or as an
individual effort. You can even grab a worksheet and make your own crane to add to the total.

At the end of the hour we will count up the cranes, and you can take one home for a donation towards the charity.

Please sponsor us for this worthy cause, and if you're in Leeds, come down and watch the fun (un)fold!

This event is organised by Fold For Peace. For more information or for press enquiries please contact Kirsty on foldageddon@gmail.com
