My story

I'm so glad you have found our page - please don't leave without sponsoring at least 1 square foot.

Food Bank Expansion! The Food Bank has outgrown its current home and now needs your support to help raise funds so we can move to a larger unit.

In 2008 The Food Bank distributed 2390 food parcels which was a 126% increase over 2007. January 2009 has seen a further 16% increase in demand.

As you can see from the photo, The Food Bank currently has a "sea container" which is used for storage, however this is no longer adequate. (and certainly no fun to work in when the weather is cold!) We are now hoping to move to a small industrial unit where we can hold adequate stocks of food and also expand our service into other areas such as baby food and toiletries.

Initally we are aiming to raise enough money to cover our moving costs and first two years rental. Please help us achieve this, by sponsoring a square foot (or two!)

    1 Square Foot - £4.00 (Storage for 3 x Child Packs)

    2 Square Feet - £8.00 (Storage for 6 x Adult Packs)

    5 Square Feet - £20.00 (Storage for 15 Adult Packs & 9 Child Packs)

Together we can make this move a reality!
