My brother's wife, Carrie lost her fight with Bowel Cancer last year aged 37. Through it all she was brave, strong, indomitable, and always full of life. I had planned to run the Paris marathon as a small tribute to her wonderful spirit. Sadly, I have suffered a bad achilles strain and am forced to withdraw from Paris, but have entered Edinburgh on 25th May instead. I am told that Edinburgh has some nice dowwnhill stretches which should help me ! Thank-you in advance for bearing with me. Please feel free to set me a tough challenge - I am hoping to complete the Edinburgh marathon in under 4 1/2 hours which given my age will present me with a very tough challenge ! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Beating Bowel Cancer will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks in anticipation of your support,
David
