Story

After last years successful sponsored Monopoly Board Event, in which Forces2Canaries managed to raise £572 for the Bryan Gunn Charity, we have again decided to undertake the sponsored event again this year, with all monies raised being donated to the Help for Heroes Charity.

The event will take place on 17 May 2008, starting at 1000 in the morning and finishing about midnight, and will see members of the Supporters Group cover all 26 areas as depicted on the Norwich Monopoly Board. Starting atNorwichAirport, and finishing at Carrow Road, the walk covers approximately 16 miles and takes in UEA, The Cathedral, Theatre Royal and the Train Station.

To add an extra element of spice to the event, members of the group will also be partaking in some liquid refreshment (half pint of beer or equivalent) at a hostelry close to each area on the board, so by the time we get to Carrow Road we will each have walked 16 miles and consumed 13 pints.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Help for Heroes will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
