WE DID IT!!!!!! What a beautiful day it was (if a little hot!). Well done to Nina for her amazing time of 2hrs 23 secs and I managed a fairly respectable 2hrs 18 mins and 30 secs. Thank you SO much for your support, never did I think we'd raise this much. Thanks for all your messages of support and sponsorship, seeing the other Unique runners on the course just showed me why we're doing this-for their daughters, sons, brothers,sisters-people like Didier. If you still fancy donating, please do-I think we can double our target and hit £2,000-let's do it!!!
Thanks so much

Another target smashed!!!! Thank you so much! Am I too ambitious by aiming for £2,000? We shall see.... Please, please keep donating as this money will make such a huge difference to a small but great charity. And it will really keep us going along the 13.1 miles when everything hurts!!!
THANK YOU!

Turns out we have smashed our target of £1,000-thank you so much for this, we can't believe it!!
I've now upped the ante and we're going for £1,500 and I really think we can do it. Please, please keep donating as it will mean so much to Unique and the people it supports.
THANK YOU!!

Thanks so much for visiting my page.
As some of you will know, sadly my lovely brother Didier died on 26th January this year. Those who met him knew what an absolute legend he was and how there was noone else in the world like him.
He did so much for me, I really want to do something for him. Didier spent his whole life battling health problems caused by a rare chromosome disorder. The doctors gave him weeks to live but in true Didier style he was strong and stubborn and had nearly 27 years of a very happy life. I'm so lucky to have known him and I want other people to be as lucky as me.
That's why I've crazily decided to do the Great North Run and raise money for Unique, a charity for people with rare chromosome disorders like Didier. But I'm not the only crazy one as Nina has decided to come along with me for the ride (lucky her!).
This will be a real challenge for both of us so please, please donate to our page. We will think of every pound donated as we're hauling ourselves across Newcastle (no doubt in the rain!).
And for all you tax payers out there, don't forget to tick the Gift Aid box as Unique will get 25% extra at no cost to you...wouldn't you rather this money goes to a good cause and not some politician's duck island?
So go for it-sponsor us!!
Thank you!
Claude and Nina
