Hello,

I am a crew member of Newhaven Lifeboat. Being crew on the lifeboat makes you part of a close team. They become an extended family. 

A fellow crew member, dear friend and part of my extended family has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. 

I know cancer touches us all in our lives, directly or indirectly and there are several organisations that try and assist families with fighting cancer and helping the sufferer and the family deal with the illness. Macmillan is one of these that supports. 

In this case the wife and 3 children of my friend.

This will only be part of what I can do for Gavin.
