As some of you will know, Paul and I had a baby boy on July 15th 2008. What should have been a happy day turned into a complete nightmare when our son Edward passed away in our arms an hour after his birth. We have found SANDS to be a huge help in the days and months following Edwards death. It's for this reason we would like you to help us raise funds for Sands in Edwards memory.
We have now completed the three swims. It's been a really uplifting thing to do and it's helped Paul and I to do something positive in Edwards Memory and help SANDS. The money we can raise will help SANDS:-
1. Support anyone effected by the death of a baby
2.Work in Partnership with health professionals to improve the quality of care and services offered to bereaved parents
3. Promote reaserch and changes in practice that could help reduce the loss of babies lives.
Dronfield Leisure centre 28th Feb 1pm - 3pm ( went really well. Thanks to all involved on the day)

Why 17? 17 babies every day are stillborn or die within the first 4 weeks of their young lives - that's over 6,500 babies every year in the UK. Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, supports anyone affected by the death of a baby and promotes reaserch to reduce the loss of babies' lives.
