Hospice in the Weald provides compassionate, individualised, holistic and supportive care for all patients, and those important to them, in West Kent and East Sussex. As a local charity not part of the NHS we need to raise £10m each year to ensure our services can continue.

Story

Sarah Holton passed away at the Hospice in the Weald on the 18th of June 2009 after a long brave fight against cancer. Taken from us at the age of just 46. Treasured youngest daughter of Dick and Karla Murrell, beloved wife of David, caring mother of Charlotte, Bella and Tilly, adored sister of Marion and Patricia, wonderful Aunt of John, James, Nick, and Alex. The Funeral ceremony will be on Thursday 2nd July 2009. Enquiries to Abbey Funeral Directors on 01732 360328. Sarah has requested no flowers but all donations to the Hospice in the Weald, if you wish via this website or via post to Hospice in the Weald, Maidstone Road, Pembury, Tunbridge Wells, TN2 4TA Sarah was admitted to the hospice 3 weeks ago and both her and her family found the hospice to be a true sanctuary, and they were so grateful for the support and freedom to make choices that it afforded them. Sarah said via text to me 'if only everyone had the opportunity to end their days here. It is such a comfort especially for my family'.
