The Challenge - To Climb the 4 Highest Mountains in each of the 4 Provinces of Ireland in Under 36 Hours!!
The tale of the Accenture Jan starters challenging 4 Peaks ………………
A long time ago in a distant and far reaching land a mythical figure set out on a quest to become ever mighty and omniscient. He searched far and wide for a challenge to test his abilities that would limit his body and stretch his mental stamina. He was seen wandering lands as far a field as the Sahara desert and the Amazon rainforest and yet returned as incomplete and unsatisfied as before. Thus he set out to create a new challenge far greater than any he had witnessed while traversing the wide wonders of our Earth. And thus he set out once more heading for the magical lands once called Ye Irelande for which he was sure would provide the challenge of all challenges.
On arrival he set about his task of creating this challenge and spent several decades slaving away with no human contact. As the sun rose one fine summers day he set back and witnessed the mighty mighty 4 peaks he had just created and knew his task was done. The next morning he set about climbing each peak consecutively until finally he had traversed his way to the top of the final mountain. He laid down close to the Earth and felt the desire he had be burning for all these years and finally knew he had completed a challenge fit to fulfil any soul ………. THE FOUR PEAKS !
And so we return to present day as now the ever growing Jan starters seek to complete the same challenge created all those years ago in aid of a charity they all feel strongly about – Muscular Dystrophy. We feel this is a great task for us all to complete and am sure you can appreciate all the hours that will go into the planning, training and climbing of the mountains themselves. Ladies and Gentleman that bar has once again been raised to us all so let us do what we all do best and smash it!!
