Promoting Equality in African Schools [PEAS] is a UK charity which aims to make a sustainable, long-term difference to the lives of African children. It does this through the foundation and development of low-fee secondary schools, initially in Uganda, helping vocation centred secondary education become available to a greater number of young Africans.

My story

We're running the Sheffield Half Marathon!

Yep, this was agreed rather late on amidst the merriment of New Year's Eve but not being the sort to break a resolution and let the side down, we've endured three months of achy knees and rather painful chaffing (Muzz that is).

Now just a few weeks away we need a little more encouragement to keep us going. We're raising money for PEAS, a great charity, whose aim is to raise the educational attainment of children and young people in Africa. So far they have built five low-fee paying secondary school schools in Uganda, massively increasing the access to education in some of the most deprived regions.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor us: PEAS gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
