Bliss is the leading UK charity for babies born premature or sick. We rely on donations to fund our work but with one baby admitted to neonatal care every five minutes we don’t have the resources to reach every baby who needs us. Your donation can help Bliss ensure every baby gets the best care.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. This marathon attempt is very special for two reasons. Firstly I have decided to celebrate my 50th year by doing something I have wanted to do for a long time, run the Flora London Marathon. My second reason is my passion for my work, looking after the smallest premature and sick newborn babies. To do this takes lots of special equipment and people and Bliss are involved in both aspects of helping. Equipment is expensive. A special pump to give fluids into a tiny vein costs about £3000. An electric breast pump costs £1800 and allows a mum to express and freeze her life giving breast milk for her tiny baby until the baby is ready to be given breast milk. Please consider sponsoring me, and lets see if I can beat my target
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: BLISS will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
I will keep you all updated. So far training is going well and I have already been promised £651
