Story
363 days ago I, together with my twin brother and 4 grandchildren attempted a skydive for Christian Aid - see below - but were frustrated by the wind and rain. On March 30th 2014, I will make the attempt to skydive again - my 5th go. This time I hope the weather is kind and lets us jump.
But it does give you the possibility of once again donating to a good cause. So wish me luck and donate.
Original 2013 appeal:
Ailsa and I are celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary. In our 60 years together we have brought up a family and have completed fulfilling careers in industry and academia. But in that time we haveseen much misery world wide, but in particular in the less developed world.
Our diamond jubilee brings our family and some good friends together and provides an opportunity for all of us to make some contribution to the lives of others less fortunate then ourselves.
Christian Aid's inintiative in organising a skydive on April 1st in the middle of our celebrations was too good an opportunity to miss. Frank had done a sky dive with his twin brother Ralph in aid of Cancer Research previously. Now Frank, Ralph and 4 of the grandchildren are skydiving for Christian Aid, and for those who wish to contribute to Ralph's pancreatic cancer research (see his Just Giving Page) on April 1st.
