My story

UPDATE: Unfortunately, I injured my ankle during training and had to withdraw from the marathon. I will be RUNNING IN 2010 now, so lot's of extra training and fundraising!! Don't worry, your generous donation won't go to waste, it counts for next year :)

Total raised before the 2009 marathon (a whopping) £794.80! Good effort but lets keep going (in the safe knowledge it's me, not you, puffing and panting all those miles) and hit that target!

I'm running the London marathon as it's one of the items I wanted to tick off the 'bucket list'.  The money raised goes to Help for Heroes. What fun!

As ever I never like to make life easy so I'm aiming to run it in 4 hours - quite a challenge as my fastest half marathon time is only 2hrs 9min!!

Help for Heroes is a charity that supports service personnel from the army, RAF and navy who have been injured, by funding extra projects and initiatives at Headley Court. See the website www.helpforheroes.org.uk for more details.

SO DIG DEEP & THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Help for Heroes gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
