Story
Fraser Gomley, Health Protection Agency, and Martin Dickie, BrewDog Co-Founder are raising money for Cancer Research UK by cycling over 900 odd miles from Lands' End to John O'Groats, in the week commencing 22nd June 2009.
Their Jersey's sponsored by Stone Brewing of California, these two jokers think they can ride 180 miles per day. Both these warriors have completed this challenge previously, Martin's solo attempt was 10.5 days (due to hurrendous weather apparently) and Dr Gormley completed as a duo in a respectable time of 7.5 days.
Martin's training for 2009 consists of 7 games of badminton, 35 miles of road running and 15 miles of cycling, two hours on a Karting track and 30 minute in a sauna.
Fraser's training consists of regularly cycling the 10 mile round trip to and from work each day, adamantly convincing himself that this is ideal training and that we'll 'wing it' on the day.
Either way, we're giving it a shot.....
