Dear All
A quick update to let you know, we completed the quadrathlon in twelve and a half hours and came 23rd out of 86 teams. The Loch was freezing and the monros were much tougher than I'd imagined, we covered 15 miles, ascending in total just over 8,000 ft. With gusts of 50 to 60 mph at the top (Force 9), the temperature was close to freezing and visibility was just 10 metres.
In comparison the kayaking was quite relaxing and the cycling was endurable as it was the last discipline! I'd highly recommend it.
Thank you so much for your generous donations so far, with off line contributions we are very near to the magic £10,000 target. That is just £2,500 per limb. If you haven't donated yet, don't worry there's still time, every £10 means a huge amount to Trinity Hospice. All the best

Trinity Hospice is a very deserving charity, close to my home, that is in need of money to continue its caring and supportive work. Trinity Hospice provides palliative care for people with terminal illnesses and support for their families. It employs 150 people and relies upon the support of numerous volunteers to help over 2,000 people a year either at the Hospice or increasingly in their own homes. Each year the Hospice has to raise, on its own, £5m to fund its much needed support for the community.
