It’s that time of year again when my competitive instincts click into gear and gruelling training begins for the Mayfair Park and Tower Race. This year’s race, held on Friday July 8, looks set to be bigger and better than ever, and with an 8am start will also force runners to take on the stairs before breakfast!
The real point of the day though is to help Galvin’s Chance and Hilton in the Community Foundation to support even more vulnerable young people. Once again your help can make a huge difference.
Seeing some of the young people seize the opportunity to turn their lives around has been truly inspirational and I want to offer this chance to many more. Galvin’s Chance has been a big part of my life over the last three years and I’m desperate for it to continue to succeed. Together we really can help young Londoners to help themselves and to become role models for their communities.
Having run the race twice now I am all too aware how torturous the 28 floors of the London Hilton on Park Lane can be, particularly after a 5km run around the Serpentine first! Your help will not only motivate me to take on all comers around the course but, with all the money raised going to help young people on Galvin’s Chance, will make a lasting difference.
Thank you so much for your support and please dig deep to help these young people who just need a chance.
Fred
