Story
All, I am an Ironman !! it is official. What a day, what a year !
It took me 13.39 hrs (1.37 hrs for the 2.4 miles swim , 6.50 hrs for the 112 miles bike and 4.47 hrs for the 26.2 miles run ) the rest of the time ( 22 mins ) was spend getting change in between the event .
I have got to say that the run was just a joke and those guys which do this for pleasure have issues :-)
Make sure you give something to Cancer research if you haven't already done so, there are peoples out there which wanted to give a lot if I succeeded, it is time to pay up.
If you are base in the BMS office don't forget to put your loose change in the bucket under my sponsorship poster.
A lot of you have been very supportive and started to give money during those long months of training and I want to thank you very very much because that is what kept me going - Never again !

I am doing this to raise money for Cancer research as most of my family are either dying or dead from the disease, and the chance of me getting this disease is very high so I want to help them to find a cure ASAP!!
Although the challenge is 3 months away some of you may think that it's too soon to give any money as I might not do it due to injuries or death (to be fair, death would be the only obstacle which could stop me and that would be a fair enough excuse ?!)
What I’d like to say to those people is that even if I don’t make it to the starting line, I have already started my training (On the 18th August 08 with an average of 20 hrs a week training consisting of 8 k swim, 50k run, 450 k bike ride) and this is tough for someone who's never swam or ridden a bike in the last 25 years so please dig deep and sponsor me online. I am also running Blackpool Marathon as a warm up in April , ( done it in 3.45 hrs ) and the Sportive Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool ( 83 miles bike ) in July .( Done in 4.27 hrs)
