I became aware of CCF from a magazine article about its founder Scott Neeson - his story touched a chord.  I have always been sceptical that donations to charities such as CCF actually reach the front line.  My initial investigations were positive - low administration costs and a maximum score for transparency from charitynavigator.org.

Nevertheless, I wanted to see the charity in action and a trip to see my brother-in-law who lives in the Far East provided the ideal opportunity.  My trip left me totally humbled by the abject poverty that I saw, the kids making the best of their situation and the people I met from CCF - truly good people doing good things in very difficult circumstances.
