Hi,

Our son Adam Kinnair (aged 3) was diagnosed with "Leigh's Syndrome" in 2007 - a life limiting disease which means he's unable to walk, talk & is mainly gastostromy tube fed. My wife Judith has had to give up work to care full time for him. Despite his problems, Adam's a beautiful, happy little boy whom we are immensely proud of.

Zoe's have assisted with his care by having Adam at the hospice during the past 18month's - usually twice per week. This has aided us greatly by giving Judith a break & enabling us to dedicate more time to our daughter Hannah. The staff are fantastic with him & Adam loves visiting there.

It costs over £800,000 per year to keep Zoe's open, with very little funding. The hospice relies on peoples generosity & goodwill. After the warmth & support my family have received, we felt the best way we can repay them is to try & raise some money ourselves towards the Hospice.

So, the Edinburgh - Marske Charity Bike Ride followed by a Race Night was decided. I'm delighted that 10 fantastic friends have volunteered to join me with this challenge and I sincerely thank them for their dedication. Nearly 300 miles of hard graft - assuming you're reading this page as you know one of the team members - you will appreciate that none of us are cyclists ! We start Thursday 24th June & hope to arrive back on Marske beach Sunday 27th June around 2-3pm. Please feel free to come down to support us & witness what 11 broken middle aged men look like.

Sunday 27th June we are also holding a Race Night at New Marske Sports Club, 8pm first race, £3.00 including pie & peas supper - please contact me should you wish to get tickets. We would be extremely grateful for any sponsorship or raffle donation's for the event.

Please visit www.zoesplace.org or contact myself should you require any further information.

Nobody likes asking for help, but Zoe's Place have been there for us when we needed it - so please help us show our depth of gratitude & appreciation.

Thank you.

Mike & Judith
