Rachel's National 3 Peaks Challenge

National 3 Peaks Challenge · 10 June 2019
Parenthood can be exhausting, stressful, exhilarating, challenging, rewarding and chaotic.... and I’m sure you’ve got own choice word to describe it too, but without doubt, the one thing we cannot deny is that parenthood is a privilege and we mums and dads are truly blessed.
My husband and I had always longed for a family and our journey was not easy... a journey of highs, lows and pain. But, thankfully, eventually, we were blessed with the news we’d been hoping for for so long.... those words “congratulations, you’re pregnant”. We were ecstatic with excitement.....but then the nurse carried on talking.... “and yes, you’ll be pleased to know it’s twins!”...WHAT?!?! WOW!
We were very lucky from then on. The pregnancy was straight forward and we became parents to two healthy, happy, beautiful babies....and I’ll add that we extended our family afterwards to have another healthy beautiful baby making our family 5. We are truly blessed.
Over the years I have used TAMBA for vital information and advice in raising twins and a singleton. Thankfully we, and our babies, haven’t needed TAMBA for any medical support but there are many parents out there who sadly are not as lucky as us and need TAMBA for help. This charity is doing ground breaking research into saving babies’ lives so that hopefully those parents who discover the wonderful news of expecting twins or more will not experience the pain and sadness of losing one or all of them. Consequently, I am walking the 3 peaks to raise money for just this... to help save those precious lives.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read my story and visit my page. I truly appreciate any support, donation or general words of encouragement that you can give .... the more I get, the less chance I’ve got of backing out of this!!
Thank you xx
