As with every adventure it starts with an idea (and a pint or two) that snowballs into a challen...ge which in turn, turns into a good cause.
The idea
From the source of the Thames the adventure begins. So this the plan, Unsupported, a group of 8 set off from the source and make our way down the Thames in canoes carrying only what is essential for the 4-5 days on the water to London.
We have 8 people already signed up with 2-3 standbys.
The equipment will be donated by a canoeing club (of which one of the group is a member) this just needs the final approval.
The rest should be just planning
The good cause
Over the years I, and many friends and family, have lost loved ones to cancer but there has always been a group of dedicated, kind, caring and strong people who have been there to help through those difficult times so we have chosen MacMillan nurseway to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
