In May 2012, over 100 people walked from The Princess Royal Hospital to The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, and raised a phenomenal £10,000 for the Cancer and Haematology Unit.

This time, we’re going backwards…..
Our challenge sees us walk from The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH), Shrewsbury, to The Princess Royal Hospital (PRH), Telford, we will take in the sights and sounds of rural Shropshire by walking village to village along the 17 mile route on the 10th May 2013.
Our appeal will be raising money for the new Children’s Unit at PRH, which will go towards setting up a modern play and entertainment facility for children who have to spend long periods of time in hospital, and will give them access to friends and family via social media.
We hope to match last year’s total and we expect it to be bigger and better than last time!
Open to all, we would encourage anyone who wants to get involved to join us on the walk.

Supporting Mayor Cllr Kevin Guy’s charity appeal to raise £100,000 for the new Women and Children’s Unit at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. "Caring for our future appeal" will raise money for a fun, learning, hi-tech facilities at the new Women and Children's Unit at the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.
The appeal will focus on supporting young patients to "thrive, learn and play" and the facilities could include a special garden room and an internal classroom. 
The unit will provide state of the art health facilities for women and children across Telford and Wrekin, Shropshire and Mid-Wales.
