AVON CYCLE MARATHON – WHEELS FOR WOODS 2008
Hi Friends
Job done! On Saturday 21st of June 2008 I completed the 85 miles of the Avon Cycleway - 100+miles door to door. Conditions looked unfavourable that morning with heavy rain; clouds low and ominous. But by the time we were under way the rain had stopped and the sky gone from black to dark grey.
I rode most of the route with my old buddy Phil Raby. It was a tough run down to Clevedon into the wind but we fairly blasted through those hills south of Bristol in the second half. In fact we were high as kites.
Thank you very very much to anyone who sponsored me. I feel as confident as I could that this money is doing useful, sustainable, work in the world.
Yours e'er
Trevor Thompson
