Story
We are raising £1000 to purchase and install a vital Automated External Defibrillator (AED) at Limewood Care Home in loving memory of Trevor McCartie. An AED is a portable, life-saving device used to help people experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. It works by delivering an electric shock to restore a normal heart rhythm. Time is absolutely critical in these emergencies; for every minute treatment is delayed, the chance of survival decreases by about 10%. Having an AED immediately accessible at Limewood will provide the best possible chance of survival for residents, staff, and visitors until professional help arrives, offering a crucial layer of safety and peace of mind to the community.
Thank you for your support and donation in memory of Trevor.
