Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Both my parents were affected by strokes so I'm committed to raising what I can to help the Stroke Association who are dedicated to conquering stroke.

My original plan was to run a minimum of 10km (6.2 miles) every day for 100 days, but I'm honoured that the Stroke Association has given me a place on their team for the 2018 Virgin London Marathon which takes place this Sunday, so I recently completed 250 consecutive days.

I've set myself a challenging fundraising goal of £2,500, but ideally I'd like to raise much more.  Please donate whatever you can as every £1 counts so whatever you contribute you have my sincere thanks.

Stroke is the 3rd most common cause of death, and the leading cause of severe adult disability in the UK.  The chances are you will have been or will be affected by stroke in your lifetime either directly or indirectly.  My Dad was expected to die quickly from the effects of his second stroke.  He held on for 23 days.  I sat with him for the duration and I wouldn't wish that experience on anyone.
