Story

The 2 Stubborn Women Jo Lord and Annie Ryan, have teamed up again to run The LondonMarathon 2016. It’s 14 years since they first crossed the finish line at London2002 for Team Macmillan. Annies son Lewis is also running for the same charity.

‘We wanted to run together again having had so many adventures over the years including ‘TheMarathon des Sables’. Taking part in The London Marathon again seemed theobvious choice.

They are running for Team Macmillan and local charity The North Weir Trust.
‘Both charities do amazing work and are very close to our hearts’. Havingsecured a charity place they are committed to raising £4000 for Macmillans, soover the next few months there will be various fundraising events to getinvolved with.

As if running a marathon wasn’t enough, Jo and Annie are turning their run into aTriathlon, Glasbury to Greenwich. Starting at Glasbury, assited by canoeists, they will swim to Hay-on-Wye. On to the bikes and a 4 day cycle on the Sustransroutes to Greenwich. After a days rest they will then run

We are holding 2 fundraising events. A good old fashioned knees up at the Parish Hall in Hay on Wye. Saturday 2nd April. Band DJ and bar.

The second is a Spinnathon. Book your bike and come and take part. 1-6 sessions take your pickm
