Thank you for visiting 21st Century's JustGiving page.
On May 13th 2018, members of the 21st Century team will be completing the Run Gatwick half marathon to raise funds for the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.
KSS Air Ambulance is a vital service that genuinely save lives and is funded purely by charitable donations. The costs for operating such a much-needed service are significant. Aside from the equipment required (such as the night-vision enabled helmets at over £15,000), each flight costs an average of £2,500 - It simply cannot happen without the assistance of good people like yourselves. The 21st Century team are proud to be able to take part in the Gatwick half marathon to raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause.
The charity holds special significance for 21st Century after it came to the aid of George Elliott, the son of our chairman, Mark and his wife, Claire. KSS Air Ambulance got a specialist medical team to George as fast as possible. Despite their superb efforts the severity of his brain haemorrhage meant he never regained consciousness. His resuscitation did ensure his wish to be an organ donor was able to be fulfilled and now many others are leading a life again thanks to George.
