24hr Cyclethon for Sue Ryder Hospice

24hrcyclethon
So on the 3/3/18 at 12 noon I will start my own personal challenge from outside the Tropicana on Weston Super Mare promenade supported by friends, family and local businesses. The challenge for me will be to complete as many miles as I can in 24hours of cycling a 3.2mile loop of Weston Super Mare.
So you're probably wondering why am I doing such a crazy challenge?
The reason for me to pick such a crazy challenge which will push my body to the limit in every way possible is, way back in 1997 my Gramp(David) was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. this was absolute devastating news for his wife Sue, children and his young Grandchildren who sadly learnt that there Gramp was poorly and sadly going to pass away. He spent many months in hospital before going into care with Sue Ryder at there home at Leckhampton Court. He spent 5 months in Sue Ryder but sadly on the 4/3/1998 his time had come and he dropped off peacefully to sleep for the last time just 2 days before my 10th birthday.
20 years on I have now decided its time to take on this epic 24hours of cycling. this is a great way for me to say a massive thank you to Sue Ryder on looking after him and my family for the short time they did. It may of been a short time but i no for my nan and her 3 children(Shirley, Nigel and Karen) it felt like a lifetime waiting for the inevitable to happen.
Here’s my Facebook event page please take a look.

Thank you very much for the taking time out to read my story and please please donate to my chosen charity. without all these lovely people who work at Sue Ryder things would of been so much harder for my family and you never know when you might need these people.
Thanks Dan and Family
