On the 21st June 6 of us will be taking on the challenge of playing 54 holes across 3 countries in 1 day. 

This is to raise funds for the Bobby Moore Unit at Stepping Hill Hospital on behalf of Marple Golf Club's Captain for 2019 Mick McPhee.

Mick has chosen this unit as he was 'treated there for bowel cancer in January 2013 and the care and attention received from the doctors/nurses and all of the staff was excellent. We should all be very grateful we have the best NHS hospitals in the World'

The 6 members taking on the challenge and supporting Marple's captain are Ray McPhee, Dillon McPhee, Paul Turnbull, Craig Frisby, Simon Jeffs and Robert Vaisey.

Now that sounds doable so to add to the challenge we have to start and finish at Marple Golf Club.

This means setting off from Marple in the early hours of June 21st to Powfoot Golf Club (https://www.powfootgolfclub.com/) after this 157 mile drive and 18 holes of golf in Scotland the journey will continue onto Wales.

After a 176 mile journey we will arrive at Hawarden Golf Club (http://hawardengolfclub.co.uk/) for a further 18 holes before heading back to Marple after completing the Welsh leg of our challenge.

This final 50 mile journey will bring us back to our home club of Marple (https://www.marplegolfclub.co.uk/) where we will complete our 3rd 18 holes in our 3rd country of the day, can we complete the challenge or will the sun set beat us?

If that all sounds a bit easy, there will be no buggies or trolleys allowed. This means a total of  383 miles of driving and approximately 18 miles of golf.
