Story

This year to celebrate her 60th birthday and her amazing determination and fitness, my mum (Jacqui) was due to run the London Marathon for charity Tommy's. She'd often spend hours on her iPad with a cup of tea reading up on the amazing work they do. That and researching how to become a better, fitter and healthier person as she aged so gracefully.

Unfortunately her life was cruelly cut short with rapid onset lobar pneumonia taking her from this world on the 15th March, before she was able to reach her milestone birthday and to fulfill her ambition to run the London Marathon. I'd like to think it was the experience of my marathon the year before that tempted her but in truth Mum was always looking for ways to challenge herself and to prove people wrong.

Her life was one that was all about giving whether that was advice through personal training to clients that became friends, the endless time she had for her family, amazing friendship or the smiles she gave so freely everywhere she went.

So with that in mind and given that mum was unable to fulfill a
dream I ask that any friends or family that can afford to make a donation on her behalf - however big of small - please donate to the cause whilst I come out of Marathon retirement (I swore I'd never do it again) to try and wear a smile Mum would have been proud of for what is no doubt going to be an emotional 26.2 miles in April. I have no doubt she would be so thrilled that her dream to raise money for Tommy's by being represented in the London Marathon would be coming true.

Thank-you for your amazing generosity and for keeping Mum in your hearts & minds.

Adam
