Story

The Affinage SAS team will be trekking the tough but beautiful training ground of the official SAS in the Brecon Beacons in South Wales. The team will be taking on a demanding route with the goal of reaching the summit and back of the Pen y Fan the highest mountain in South Wales.

This involves a gruelling walk of 7 - 8 hours in the hope of raising as much money as possible for The Hairdressers' Charity.

This charity is the official industry charity for the hairdressing industry;  dedicated solely to helping hairdressing professionals, ex-hairdressers and their families in their hour of need.

The help provided comes in many forms, depending on the recipients needs, but beneficiaries are often helped in the following ways:

- Regular payments to help people to get buy who are struggling to get by due to unforeseen instances. (E.g. terminal illness, accidents, ill-health)

- Emergency one-off grants to help people with short term requirements

- Providing children under 16 with a clothing allowance for their school uniforms and birthday presents and holiday money

- Training and equipment to help people learn new skills to get back into the workplace
