Story
I am running in the Oldbury Fun run on 25th of June in memory of my dad (Ray Goudie) who passed away under a year ago. It's a very long story about me and my families' journey but I will tell you the really short version and if you want to know more then feel free to message me. Just over 3 years ago, my dad got diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. He went through a 12 hour life threatening operation and survived. He then had to go through chemo and after 6 months of that went through Radiotherapy. He then got cleared of cancer and we were so happy but weeks later found out the cancer had returned and this time was bowel cancer which had spread from the pancreas. This time it was terminal cancer and doctors said he had days/weeks to live. He died last year on July the 25th. He was more then my Dad, he was my best friend. Me and my family have really struggled with the loss and what we all went through. So, I'm running in support of Pancreatic cancer to help families / people in this situation because I know how tough this is and we need to beat cancer! It isn't a commonly talked about cancer but only 3 percent of people who get it survive, which is shocking and it is in great need of support. If you could give as much as you can, that would mean the world to me.
Thank you,
Aidan
