On the 27th August, two friends and I will attempt to run the 130 miles along the Liverpool to Leeds Canal (LLCR). There will be a round 100 of us in total and for me this is my second, and final, attempt having pulled out at 110 miles in 2016 with injury. We have 40 hours to complete so a night shift is required !

The 3 of us have run a number of events this year to try and prepare for this, including Run to the Castle, London to Brighton and numerous marathons but i don't think you can ever feel ready to run 130 miles so i cannot guarantee i will do it !

I didn't sign up to run for a charity but having raised almost £4k so far this year on my last 2 ultra's I have decided to try and get over £5k. I have raised money for Make A Wish and LAMP so far but Dementia is something that affects so many of us and i'd like to raise as much as i can.

My employer, Tokio Marine HCC, have amazingly agreed to match fund every penny up to £2,500 ! This is the 3rd match funding they have provided to me this year. Absolutely Fantastic and a big thanks to our charity committee.
