Plymouth White Collar Boxing 25th March 2017 · 25 March 2017 to 25 April 2017 ·

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

I never thought it would happen to us, I had seen the adverts on TV and read articles in the papers, but it's true that cancer doesn't care who it picks it's fight with as we found out in 2007. We were sadly given the information that our precious son Louie, aged only 3 at the time, had Leukaemia. My heart sank and I felt numb as he was driven from Derriford hospital to Bristol Children's Hospital. Throughout the treatment process Louie had very serious life threatening complications and I regularly sat next to him praying to god to help him fight and beat this. We were lucky, at 1 point Louie was 12 hrs away from losing his battle but our little soldier fought hard enough to beat his cancer. The unfortunate fact that not every family is blessed with the outcome of survival, is still an ongoing heartache for many.

So, this is my time to fight, to show cancer isn't always going to win and to help ongoing research to give more families hope and belief that they like us can come through this. I am asking you all to help me stand up to cancer and support my Ultra White Collar Boxing Fight in the Plymouth Guild Hall on the 25th March by giving whatever you can afford whether it be big or small.

Help me kick cancers butt!  Let's Ave it!!!!
