Walk of Hope 2022
Campaign by Brain Tumour Research (RCN England and Wales 1153487, Scotland SC046840)
Ever-popular and attracting more supporters than ever, the national Brain Tumour Research Walk of Hope is back, taking place on Saturday 24th September 2022. Will you step forward?

Story

As many of you know , my son was diagnosed with skull based chondrasarcoma 2 years ago. He has since progressed through 3 major brain operations and then went to The Christie , Manchester for 10 weeks to undergo proton beam treatment. He has a long way to go for recovery still , with some permanent damage & no guarantee as yet of a complete cure. However we are so grateful to everyone involved in his treatment and hope that anything we can raise will help others affected by this dreadful disease, which needs so much research. Plymouth University has one of the main research laboritories working on the cures for certain types of brain tumours . Therefore this charity is very close to home in more ways than one.

Please help us by raising some money  however small , even £1 will help towards our target.

Anyone wishing to join us on the day would be very welcome. We will be the group in pink t-shirts giving away balloons on our way & will have a collection box with us for any donations.

Thank you.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
