Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving Page.

I’ll be running the London Marathon on the 21st of April 2024 on behalf of The Brain Tumour Research , a charity that is very close to my family and I.

In August 2020, my Dad was sadly diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma. This is a very serious, fast spreading Brain Tumour with only a 4% survival rate. Sadly my Dad was not amongst the survivors of this horrible illness. Despite that he fought strong and hard for 17 months and gave us forever lasting, happy memories in that time before sadly passing away on the 20th of January 2022.

For this reason, I will be running the London Marathon  2024 in memory of my Dad. Any donation is greatly appreciated, no matter how small or big it may be. The Brain Tumour Research Charity will benefit massively from all the money raised. With any luck in the future hopefully the money raised will help find a cure to this illness and prevent other families and friends losing loved ones.

Thanks again,

Ben
