I have witnessed first hand the effect arthritis has on so many lives. I have family and friends that suffer with this on a daily basis. My Godson was diagnosed with arthritis  at a very young age and has ever since had to deal with the life changes, pain and limitations that this diagnosis has brought him. I have seen him be violently sick from injections, attend frequent hospital appointments where he’s missed school, had to miss out on rugby and football games that he is so very passionate about and even to struggle to walk pain free. No pain that I feel training for, during or after running 26.2 miles will come close to what I have seen my amazing Godson go through. But with the support of this wonderful charity it has made life more manageable and given him a support network that has helped him mentally too. 

As a Primary teacher I have also taught children with arthritis and have seen and supported them to adapt, achieve and manage.
