Great Birmingham Run 2016 · 16 October 2016 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!

We are six researchers who work in a Bloodwise-funded lab at The Institute of Biomedical Research at The University of Birmingham.

Our work includes several Bloodwise-funded projects which aim to shed light on the molecular processes which cause blood cancer.

We perform cutting-edge studies on leukaemia patients to understand the relationship between their genetic background and their disease.

Through a better understanding of what drives their blood cancer, novel treatments can be formulated which improve survival and quality of life.

As we are always touched by the hard work fundraisers put in to support this research, we wanted to ChIP in ourselves by doing the Great Birmingham Run!

These detailed studies require a lot of resources, so we'd really appreciate any donations you can offer - no matter how big or small.

Thank you,

Rosie, Sarah, Beth, Niall, Dan & Chris
