I am running the Great South Run on the 16th October 2022 for Cancer Research UK. I am raising money for this charity as I have been affected a lot myself through family having cancer. I am also proud to say that I have been a cancer care nurse for the last 2 years and I absolutely love it! I feel so proud of what I am doing that I want to raise money for cancer research so I can keep helping cancer patients that need us. My patients that I work with are absolutely extraordinary! They have such resilience and each one of them has that fighting spirit and that’s what I love about my job knowing that I’m helping to beat cancer with them! As for my family I have a mum who had breast cancer in 2018 and is truly the strongest woman I know! She was fortunate enough to beat it. My lovely stepdad Trevor passed away in 2014 of pancreatic cancer. Still till this day I think of him and the memories of him stay with me. Both my mum and my stepdad are both my inspirations and that’s why I work in cancer care. I think my experience makes me a better cancer care nurse. So I am running for my mum, my stepdad, my wonderful patients past and present that I have met along the way and those who are no longer with us but stay in my heart forever ❤️ Please if you could donate anything to my page it would mean a lot! ❤️ Thank you ❤️
