Story
The months leading up to March were filled with excitement and the usual mum to be fears.. I was 39 weeks and 2days pregnant and due to have my planned c section in two days. The Saturday morning of March 19th is one I will never forget, waking up and not feeling my precious baby girl wake up with me. I convinced myself she was just in a deep sleep and if I waited she would give me a reassuring kick but she never. I rang the maternity unit and was told to go in. With in 20min of being there me and Allan were told the devasting life changing news that out beautiful baby girl Dolly had fallen asleep.. I remember looking at our midwives face and seeing her eyes glaze over as the consultant searched for any sign of life. I remember the doctors running around taking bloods and prepping me for my section when all I could think was "what am I going to tell our other children and my mum and dad".. The next thing I remember is waiting to hear her cry as the consultant started the operation, but the cry never came... Then suddenly we were handed our beautiful baby girl , she just looked like she was sleeping.. Beautiful is an understatement she was perfect.. We were given the "Louis box" as we got back to our hospital room.. At first I didn't understand why people wanted to be taking Dollys picture or taking prints of her feet and a lock of her beautiful hair. But after 3 prescious days in hosp with Dolly we were so grateful to have this important box of keepsakes that we will treasure forever.. She was the most perfect little girl Weighing 8lb 13 with black silky curly hair X We are so proud to be able to call her our beautiful little Dolly xxx X
