I am running the 2021 London Marathon to raise as much money as I can for Clic Sargent.

As you are aware my son Lewis (now aged 17) who also has Downs Syndrome, has been diagnosed three times in his short life with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Each time he has fought like an absolute trooper and kicked cancers ass and I’m pleased to say that he is currently in remission. 

Clic Sargent were a God send to my family when my son was going through his treatment (every time). They provided us with support and information to help us financially as I had to have a lot of time off work in order to be with Lewis through his treatment. They organised days out for Lewis’s brother & sister as they recognise that siblings also suffer throughout this time. And above all they were there to support us whenever we felt we needed it.

Despite my absolute love of pretty much all things fitness and being a self confessed gym rat,  I have to admit that running is not my favourite. So, because of this I am taking myself right out my comfort zone and taking part in probably the biggest challenge that I have done yet because I know what I endure throughout my training and even on Marathon day, it will NEVER compare to what Lewis had to go through or what any of these wee warriors have to go through to win their fight against cancer.
