Cheryl Barnes - Walk to Sugar Loaf

Walk to Sugarloaf · 2 May 2017
I am walking to Sugar Loaf from the Cosmic Teapot Health and Wellness Centre at Elton Corner during the first week of May. I will walk 45 miles over 3 days.
The emergency services are something we all hope we won't need but they do amazing work 'behind the scenes' and some, like the Great Western Air Ambulance, rely entirely on donations. So I have decided to 'pay it forward'.
I have heard many amazing stories of the work the Great Western Air Ambulance do, including some from those personally touched, and have decided to 'walk the land' between the Cosmic Teapot Therapies Centre at Elton Corner (Forest of Dean) and Sugar Loaf in Abergavenny (Brecon Beacons) in order to raise money for them.
One of the things I do at the Therapies Centre is teach Stress Management, and the techniques I teach are the same taught to the emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) in New Zealand and Australia to help keep them level headed in a crisis.
I hope I won't need any emergency services on my trip, but am hugely grateful for the peace of mind their existence gives me and for the fantastic work they do every year for locals and visitors to this beautiful area.
