Cleveland Way Challenge · 20 September 2022

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Living in Scarborough and being a keen walker, I have walked nearly all the coastal stretch of the 110 mile Cleveland Way. Together with my good friend Jean, I am planning to walk the inland leg, across the North Yorkshire Moors, starting in Helmsley and finishing in Saltburn-by-the-Sea: 55 miles in three days ie half the total distance.

I am a longstanding supporter of The Prince's Trust both as a Mentor and Trainer. To be in a position to share some of the experience's from my life's journey with young people is both a privilege and responsibility I take very seriously.

Last year I wrote my debut book Speak Out! and am donating £2.00 from every sale to the Trust - www.eaglei.uk.com/shop. This year, I wanted another opportunity to raise funds and hope you will consider donating to this long-distance challenge.

Thank you in advance on behalf of all young people in the UK supported by the Trust.
