Story

With a friend, I'm attempting to run the 630-mile South West Coast Path in a Fastest Known Time, starting on Saturday 14 May.

The current record is 11 days, 8 hours and 15 minutes. So our run will need to be more than 55 miles a day for 10-11 days and the SWCP is really friggin hilly (111,000ft of ascent). It's gonna hurt like buggery.

Cancer has had its way with my family several times and my godmother is currently afflicted by an aggressive version of it. She's based in the US, but without healthcare.

She's incredibly optimistic about it, but it doesn't sound good. If you'd rather give straight to her, please pay into account 20-15-85, 10917990, with the reference 4Sheri.

Huge, huge thanks for being such a wonderful person.

Thanks to Summit Fever Media (www.summitfevermedia.com) for the use of this image from their brilliant Spine Race Film.
