Story

I am running the London Marathon for East Anglia's Childrens Hospice,I will be dressed as a Flamingo(As this was the ward Jude was on) and hoping to get into the world record book.

When Jude passed away he spent 3 weeks at the hospice while waiting for Jude's funeral. We got to spend some special time with Jude doing hand and foot prints, holding him and creating memories that we wouldn't have had it it wasn't for EACH this was our time to say our goodbyes as was very important for his Big Brother Ethan to visit and create memories too.

Its now 4 years on and a day doesn't go by when we don't think about Jude and wonder what he would look like or how he would be. Through the support of EACH we go to bereavement group once a month, silblings group for Ethan throughout the year(which he loves)also one to one support.

EACH are a truly Amazing charity who have helped us as a family, We really don't know what we would do without them. This is why i want to give something back to EACH.

Any Donations are greatly received,

Our Gorgeous Baby Jude sadly passed away on the 28th April 2014.

Jude was born on the 2nd April with a rare heart condition called Hypoplastic left heart(half a heart)At only 5 days old Jude under went open heart surgery. This would have been the first of three operations before the age of three . Jude's operation was a success but the last stage of the operation was the closing of the chest. The day of the chest closure Jude crashed, which he then went onto ecmo(heart by-pass machine)We would have lost Jude that day if it was not for having the ecmo machine and the Amazing skills of the surgeons that saved him.Jude was then on ecmo for a week to let his heart rest.

The day came for Jude to come off ecmo machine. This was a day we both were dreading as we had asked how many Babies had come off ecmo,we were told 3! To the amazement of all the doctors and nurses Jude did it,he beat the machine!Such a fighter.

The final stage was upon us. Sadly Jude's heart was just too tired. On the 28th April 2014, Jude passed away in my Wife's arms. GOSH ensured his passing was pain free and peaceful. We miss Jude every second of every day. His courage and bravery are an inspiration.
