I’m Deano Franciosy and I’ve always dreamt of doing the London Marathon. I’ve fundraised for 29-years in memory of my mam and my brother for the ICCU Dept at the Sunderland Royal Hospital. Today I’m fundraising for St Oswald’s Hospice in Newcastle in particular their children’s service who look after children with life limiting conditions in the North East.

I wanted to do the London Marathon in April 2020 for my 50th birthday, it would have been the culmination of 50 events in my 50th year but it was cancelled and re-scheduled for 4th October but that’s been cancelled too.  In its place I’m going to take part in a virtual London Marathon event and the route I’ve chosen is from the Stadium of Light in Sunderland to St James Park, Newcastle and then back again.
