Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Roman James, our beautiful, courageous grandson, was diagnosed with a rare inherited neurodegenerative disease called NP-C, at the age of 2 years old. Throughout his three year battle, despite enduring immense pain and endless operations Roman remained the happiest, bravest and smiliest little boy you could ever wish to meet.

During this time Keech Hospice offered Ben, Scarlet, Roman and Gabriel the opportunity to access an amazing facility. Care packages included respite, day support, hydrotherapy, care in the home and bereavement support. Keech helped Ben, Scarlet and Gabriel create memories and special moments which may never have been possible otherwise.

Roman sadly lost his battle with NP-C on the 11th April 2017.  He was at home surrounded by all his family and a Keech Nurse who was able to offer support and reassurance during Romans final moments. Roman was then transferred to Keech where  he was laid to rest in a beautiful bedroom enabling family and friends to visit and say their final goodbyes.

With all of the above in mind the Keech Colour Dash seemed a very fitting and perfect opportunity for us all to celebrate Romans life, whilst raising money for an invaluable and amazing charity.

Please support this amazing charity in any way you can, you never know when you may need the facilities of this amazing place and fabulous nurses.

A massive thank you to the 35 individuals that have come together to participate in the Keech Colour Dash on behalf of #TEAMROMAN. ❤️
