Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My son Sam died 25 years ago, two weeks prior to his second birthday. I miss him everyday.

During his short life, Acorns Children’s Hospice was an amazing pillar of support. They provided respite care for Sam and his immediate family and intensive support before and after his death. In particular, the incredible bereavement counselling I received helped me understand my own grief and carry on positively.

I recently discovered that it takes £7000 to run one of Acorn’s three hopices per day. So, I decided that I would attempt to raise £7000 by walking the 145 mile Grand Union Canal from London to Birmingham in 7 days-

The 7 Grand Union Walk!

Acorns Children’s Hospice relies on generous people like you to do the amazing work it does for life limited children. Please help them continue that work! Love- Duncan.
