Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page please read my story about why I am doing this challenge.
My sister Jo should have been 43 this March, instead, we are mourning being without her for almost 2 years. Joey died from metastatic breast cancer aged just 41.
Jo spent many happy days at Treetops where she used to knit , chat, colour and spend time with people who understood her story, knew what she faced.
When Jo sorted her funeral plans, she asked that donations be sent in lieu of flowers to Treetops. With this in mind I decided that each year I would do something to raise money for Treetops, last year I did my first ever half marathon, this year I wanted to do more, so I thought I would run 5km for every year that Joey would have been here - 43 and to do it in March, Jos birth month. That totals 215km over 31 days an average of 6.9km every day. I am also going to be taking part in Retford Half marathon on Jos birthday - March 12th.
Please help me raise money for this amazing Hospice in memory of my beautiful sister who was taken too soon. The hole that has been left in my life will never, ever heal but by helping raise money for Treetops I hope that Jo will be proud of me.
thank you :-)
